Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, once said, “I’m not afraid to take on a challenge. I’m not afraid to take a step. If I fall, I pick myself up and move on.” He also said, “There is no ‘I’ in ‘team’ but there is in ‘win’.”
What can we learn from these two quotes?
The first one is about being brave to accept any challenge and daring to try, and the second one teaches us the power of unity in pursuit of victory. Last year, Whasanians attained great achievements in academic studies, co-curricular activities and social services, etc. I will take over to lead the school starting from this year. Teachers are your coaches. I hope that all of you will be confident enough to take on challenges and achieve great results so as to write a glorious page for yourself and the school.
For 25 years, Wong Wha San Secondary School has been providing students with a good learning environment. This includes excellent teachers, diverse activities and a caring school campus. I hope that you can make good use of all these to grow happily and healthily, and to develop yourself into a Whasanian who is knowledgable, righteous, aspirational and responsible.
I hope that all of you can acquire knowledge, experiences, good health and friendship. Wish you academic progress and a happy life.
